Y6 Book Week Celebrations (Mar 2026)

Y6 had a wonderful time celebrating Book Week.  The children enjoyed watching a performance by the Reception class, sharing stories with Y1 class, exploring new authors and they welcomed guest readers into the classroom who inspired them with their favourite books.  The children also completed work based on a focus text - The Island by Armin Greder.  A thought-provoking picture book which was perfect for discussion and moral debate.  Y6 even found time to visit their local Waterstones bookshop to exchange their Book Week tokens, choosing books to continue their reading journey at home.  What an exciting time!
